Condition Reports & Quinquennials

We have carried out three quinquennial inspections and advised on a number of maintenance issues at this country house ( James Payne 1756), now divided into flats.

All buildings should be regularly inspected, to identify and prevent defects before they become urgent problems, or spiral into costly building failures requiring major interventions. The ‘quinquennial’ (‘five-yearly’) professional inspection and report is recognised as the basis of effective budgeting¬†for future maintenance and repair costs.

Condition reports and quinquennials are an important and absorbing part of our work and we enjoy the in-depth understanding gained from years of involvement with individual historic buildings.
